Song of the Day, July 3: Beauty In the World by Macy Gray

MacyWorldWeddingHere’s a bonus weekend song of the day! This weekend is a wonderful two-day celebration for my husband, Michael, and me. Seventeen years ago yesterday, we had our first date, a lovely dinner out followed by Tea With Mussolini. Today marks the second anniversary of the day we were finally able to receive legal recognition of our relationship, getting married at our home, surrounded by our dearest friends.

Being with Michael reminds me every day that there is beauty in the world. In that spirit, I offer up a lovely song. Macy Gray’s Beauty In the World is a delight, a fun, danceable celebration. It’s a song we both love, and it captures the joy we share together. Gray seamlessly blends her urban dance sense with an almost folky acoustic element, crafting something unique and surprising. The music matches the spirit of the song and reflects the power of a shared life.

Enjoy this fun song as we celebrate our love this weekend!
