Song of the Day, February 15: I Worry Less by Krystle Warren and the Faculty

WarrenLoveSongsInsertToday’s song is the lovely I Worry Less. Krystle Warren envisioned an intimate, long-form exploration of love for her album Love Songs. She assembled her band, the Faculty, and recorded live in the studio, crafting 12 tracks into a disc subtitled A Time You May Embrace. An amazing journey through the many emotions, complications, and satisfactions of romance, it’s a brilliant album without an off moment.

I Worry Less may be the finest track in this esteemed company. Warren sets things up in a warm, domestic setting, with a couple conversing over a breakfast table. Intimate and compelling, it’s a slow build of a song that shows the power of the small moments to make a relationship strong. The title is a wonderful ode to the strength one can draw from a partner who shares the burdens of life.

Today is my 50th birthday. I chose this song for today because it is a perfect reflection of the finest part of my life, the love and support of my husband, Michael. With him by my side, I worry less, knowing that I always have another strength beside me.

Enjoy this magical song today.
