Song of the Day, September 21: Andmoreagain by Love

LoveAndmoreToday’s song is Love’s Andmoreagain from Forever Changes. It was one of the songs recorded with renowned studio musicians the Wrecking Crew when the fate of the band was up in the air. Sequenced in nicely, it fits the album’s themes and tone perfectly. Arthur Lee turns in one of his finest vocals over a lush bed of strings. The beautiful trappings are part of a darker package, however, as he sings about human limitations and the need for vigilance against sinister forces, even in the midst of great changes. The song is brilliantly constructed and provides one of the touchstones of the powerful album.

Enjoy this wonderful song today.
