Song of the Day, June 11: How It Is by the JudyBats

JudyBatsShacksToday’s song is a lovely bit of unrequited love from the JudyBats’ stellar second release, Down In the Shacks Where the Satellite Dishes Grow. Singer Jeff Heiskell ponders “How it is when you’re his and I’ve always been yours.” He turns in a wonderful vocal, just wistful enough as he croons his defeat. It’s a clever pop gem that show off a great band at their wry finest.

Enjoy this bittersweet ode today.
