Song of the Day, April 16: When I Fall by Sam Phillips

Today’s song is When I Fall by Sam Phillips. Taken from her brilliant 1994 album Martinis & Bikinis, it’s a powerful song about love. Phillips frequently writes about the challenges of finding real love and nurturing it and this lyric about everything that falling in love means is one of her finest.

Control is letting go
And I’m the last to know
We might land beyond the wall
I might give love to you
I might step right on through
I think you’ll be there when I fall

Enjoy this wonderful song today.
