This week sees an iconic 80s band debut on the Hot 100. The Go-Go’s first hit, Our Lips Are Sealed, comes in at #90 on its way to peaking at #20 in an impressive 30-week stay on the charts. Their follow-up, We Got the Beat, also from their best-selling album Beauty and the Beat, was their biggest hit, logging three weeks at #2 behind the monster hit I Love Rock’n’Roll. They managed one more Top 10 hit, the #8 Vacation before fading and eventually breaking up.
