Song of the Day, April 11: Tall Ships Go by Big Country

Big Country

Big Country had trouble getting traction in the U.S., but their unique sound and passion deserved far better. Today’s song is the powerful Tall Ships Go from their 1984 album SteelTown. Written in memory of vocalist Stuart Adamson’s late father, this is one of their most passionate songs. April 11 was Adamson’s birthday; he would have been 53 today. Listen to Tall Ships Go here.
